Monaco midfielder Paul Pogba has selected Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germain as his choice for the 2025 Ballon d'Or.
During a live session with American streamer iShowSpeed, Pogba conveyed his admiration for Dembele's recent performances, particularly in PSG's remarkable UEFA Champions League-winning campaign.
"I support Dembouz [Dembele] 100 percent; he won the UCL and was essential this season," Pogba stated. "If he does not win it this year, he will never win it. Hakimi and Vitinha were impressive as well. Dembélé is the frontrunner for the Ballon d'Or."
At 28, Dembele has had an outstanding season with the Ligue 1 champions, regaining his top form and playing a crucial role in PSG's historic European triumph.
His skill, speed, and playmaking prowess were instrumental as PSG finally secured the coveted Champions League trophy, a significant factor that may influence the Ballon d'Or voting in his favor.
Pogba, who has been a long-time teammate of Dembele on the French national team, also recognized the contributions of two other PSG stars, Achraf Hakimi and Vitinha, describing their performances as "great" throughout the season. However, he emphasized that they did not surpass Dembele's impact.
