The First NEC Meeting at Aso Villa is Attended by Ibas, the Rivers Sole Administrator.

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas, is presently participating in the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, which is being chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Also in attendance is the recently defected Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori. Other governors present include Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia from Benue State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak from Kwara, Monday Okpebholo from Edo, and Bassey Otu from Cross River, among others. Additionally, a significant number of Deputy Governors are also participating in the meeting. The NEC meeting, led by the Vice President, focuses on critical national issues that are central to the discussions among its members.
