A police inspector tragically took his own life in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, identified as Inspector Maxwell Zabu. The incident occurred at the residence of a former chairman of the Port Harcourt Local Government Area on Tuesday, April 22. The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the event and is currently conducting investigations to ascertain the details surrounding the inspector's death. SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the Command's spokesperson, reported that detectives from the Azikiwe Police Division have visited the site for initial inquiries. Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has mandated a comprehensive investigation by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Port Harcourt to uncover the reasons behind Inspector Zabu's actions.
