Atalanta's Retegui Joins Saudi Club Al-Qadsiah

Last season's Serie A leading goal-scorer, Mateo Retegui, has transferred to Al-Qadsiah from Atalanta, as announced by the Saudi club on Monday. Italian media reports indicate that Al-Qadsiah has paid over 60 million euros ($70 million) for the Italian forward, although the duration of his contract remains undisclosed. The 26-year-old netted 25 goals in the league last season after joining Atalanta in 2024. "El Matador. Al Qadsiah's new powerhouse," the club stated on social media. Retegui, who was born in Argentina, takes the place of former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is said to have agreed to a return to Marseille.
